Live Event Operations Manager - Atlanta, GA
About the Role:
We're seeking a highly organized and proactive Live Event Operations Manager to oversee the planning and execution of large-scale entertainment events. Based in Atlanta, you'll be responsible for ensuring seamless operations across all phases of live event production-from pre-planning and logistics to on-site execution and post-event wrap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Logistics: Manage all operational aspects of live events including scheduling, staffing, transportation, equipment, and venue coordination.
- Vendor & Crew Management: Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and production crews.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Permitting & Compliance: Secure necessary permits and ensure all events comply with local regulations, safety standards, and insurance requirements.
- On-Site Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact during events, overseeing setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with creative, production, and client teams to align operational plans with event goals.
- Post-Event Reporting: Conduct debriefs, reconcile expenses, and provide operational insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in live event operations, preferably within the entertainment industry.
- Strong knowledge of event logistics, production timelines, and technical requirements.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and complex event environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in event management tools and software (e.g., Excel, Airtable, Smartsheet).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.
- Experience with concerts, festivals, or touring productions is a strong plus.
