What You'll Do
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design and implementation of mechanical and plumbing systems for complex laboratory, industrial, and process facilities. You'll collaborate with internal teams (engineers, designers, project managers, and manufacturing staff) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, and contractors) to deliver high-quality, technically sound solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define scope and develop conceptual designs for facility mechanical systems and fluid systems in custom equipment.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Conduct constructability and quality reviews to ensure design integrity and maintainability.
- Evaluate and report on vendor bids, technical submissions, and contractor proposals.
- Oversee field activities during installation and commissioning phases.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including scheduling, submittal reviews, and delivery coordination.
- Support equipment startup, validation, and troubleshooting.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in industrial or process environments.
- Familiarity with construction coordination and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, thermodynamics, fluid systems, and HVAC.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, equipment installation, and commissioning support.
