About the Role
An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead hydropower‑related structural design efforts and support water‑power projects across the western United States. This role involves technical leadership, project management, client engagement, and mentorship of engineering staff.
Who You Are
Experienced & Credentialed
Licensed Professional Engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
15+ years in hydropower engineering.
Strong background in the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures related to dams, spillways, gates, penstocks, and powerhouse structures.
Familiarity with applicable structural engineering codes and standards.
Experienced in coordinating multidisciplinary project teams (hydraulics, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
Comfortable working directly with clients and contractors in both office and field environments.
Skilled communicator with a passion for mentoring junior engineers.
Project Leadership
Background managing large, complex, multi‑discipline projects.
Adept at partnering with senior leadership to develop practical, technically sound solutions in the renewable energy and water sectors.
Client‑Focused
Builds and maintains strong professional relationships.
Works well within cross‑disciplinary teams and supports projects from concept through construction.
Additional Requirements
Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
Willingness to travel; valid driver's license required.

Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of hydropower and fish‑passage facilities.
Support the growth of hydropower engineering services across the region.
Manage project teams and oversee technical quality.
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, learning‑oriented culture.
