A well-established and tier 1 mechanical contractor with a long-standing presence in the Nashville market is seeking to expand its construction team. With over a century of experience, the business delivers high-quality mechanical solutions across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical construction.

The organisation provides full lifecycle mechanical construction services, from early-stage design and planning through to installation, leveraging advanced technologies such as Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), in-house fabrication, and dedicated project management.

Projects are typically complex commercial builds that require a high level of precision, coordination, and long-term performance.

The Role

A Plumbing Estimator is required to support a growing construction division. The role will focus on delivering accurate, competitive estimates for commercial plumbing and piping systems, contributing to successful project delivery from tender stage through to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial plumbing and mechanical construction projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to define scope
  • Carry out quantity take-offs and develop labour, material, and equipment pricing
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment
  • Support the preparation and submission of competitive bids
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in plumbing or mechanical estimating
  • Previous field experience in plumbing or mechanical construction is essential
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and installation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office
  • High level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
