Location: Denver, Colorado
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (or the ability to obtain)

We are currently seeking an experienced Power Plant Manager to lead operations at a mission-critical facility for a confidential client. This is an exclusive opportunity to join a global leader in engineering and infrastructure services, supporting a high-availability environment essential to national operations.

Position Overview

The Power Plant Manager will oversee 24/7 operations of a physical plant that provides continuous power and cooling to data centers and mission systems. This role involves managing a team of plant operators and ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage round-the-clock facility operations, including monitoring and maintenance of critical infrastructure.
  • Supervise and coordinate all site activities that may impact plant operations.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Response Procedures (ERPs), and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
  • Implement and manage a comprehensive training and certification program for plant operators.
  • Oversee shift scheduling, staffing, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Ensure timely incident reporting and lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Maintain adherence to safety, environmental, and operational protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in power plant, facilities, or critical infrastructure operations.
  • At least 4 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Proficiency in maintenance planning tools such as Archibus or similar CMMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, prioritize tasks, and lead technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing operations in a 24/7/365 mission-critical environment.
  • Familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma, or ISO 9000 methodologies.
  • Technical expertise in systems such as 4160V/480V electrical distribution, RUPS, diesel generators, chillers, and fuel storage.
  • Knowledge of MEP systems and electrical generation procedures.
  • Experience developing and implementing SOPs and emergency protocols.

Compensation Range: $140,000 - $190,000
