Power Systems SCADA Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
We're working with a well‑established engineering and systems integration firm supporting utility and power infrastructure projects across the U.S. They are looking to add two Power Systems SCADA Engineers to support the build‑out and ongoing management of a new Power SCADA environment.
This is a hybrid role based in Houston and offers the opportunity to work on large‑scale utility projects involving substations, reclosers, and modern digital grid systems.
What You'll Be Working On
- Design, build, and support Power and Utility SCADA systems
- Support SCADA environments for substations, distribution networks, and reclosers
- Configure and manage modern Digital Grid and Distribution SCADA platforms
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and utility stakeholders
- Support system integration, testing, commissioning, and ongoing optimization
- Troubleshoot SCADA, communications, and power automation issues
Key Technologies (experience with some is ideal)
- OSI Monarch SCADA (AspenTech)
- ZENON SCADA (COPA‑DATA)
- Utility protocols such as DNP3 and IEC 61850
- RTUs, IEDs, and substation automation systems
- Power distribution or transmission environments
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a SCADA Engineer within power systems, utilities, or energy
- Hands‑on exposure to substation or distribution SCADA
- Strong understanding of power infrastructure and grid operations
- Comfortable supporting both new SCADA deployments and live systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
