As a Project Development Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth in geohazard mitigation. This isn't just a sales role - it's a strategic, technical, and relationship-driven position where your engineering expertise meets business development. You'll lead the charge in identifying high-value opportunities, crafting tailored solutions, and building lasting partnerships across the Energy and Heavy Civil sectors.

What You'll Do

  • Spot Opportunities Early: Proactively identify and qualify new project leads within your territory-especially in Energy and Heavy Civil markets.
  • Build Relationships That Matter: Develop trust with engineers, consultants, and decision-makers. Your follow-through and responsiveness will set you apart.
  • Engineer Solutions with Clients: Translate complex geotechnical challenges into clear, compelling solutions. Present design/build options that align with client needs.
  • Be Present in the Market: Attend industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to grow your network and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Drive Pursuits from Start to Finish: Collaborate with internal teams to shape proposals, budgets, and delivery strategies that win.
  • Grow Key Accounts: Develop pursuit plans for strategic clients and track engagement through CRM tools.
  • Share What You Know: Feed market insights, competitive intelligence, and leads back to the broader sales and engineering teams.

What You Bring

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
    • 8-10+ years in technical sales, business development, or client-facing engineering roles
    • PE license
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Experience in geotechnical, energy, or heavy civil sectors
    • Familiarity with cost estimation, design/build models, and procurement processes
    • Understanding of construction practices and heavy equipment
  • Tools & Tech:
    • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
    • B2W estimating experience is a plus
