About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead substation foundation and earthwork construction projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge in civil/structural construction for substations, exceptional project delivery skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute substation foundation and earthwork projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Oversee site preparation, excavation, backfill, foundations (piers, slabs, grounding grids), grading, access roads, and stormwater controls.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and stakeholder communications.
  • Lead coordination with engineering teams, subcontractors, utilities, and client representatives.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and verify quality standards.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, utility standards, environmental requirements, and company procedures.
  • Track and report project status, change orders, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction, utility infrastructure, or substation site work.
  • Strong understanding of concrete foundations, earthwork, grading, and site civil design.
  • Experience working with electric utility companies or EPC contractors preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across DFW.
