Site Development Project Manager - Civil Construction
A civil contractor is seeking a skilled project manager to lead site development projects across the DMV area. This full-time role offers the opportunity to manage complex earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of site development projects including grading, utilities, stormwater, and paving
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and local permitting requirements
- Lead preconstruction planning, procurement, and subcontractor negotiations
- Monitor field progress and proactively resolve issues to maintain project momentum
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing site development or civil construction projects
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, underground utilities, and stormwater systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Familiarity with project management software and construction documentation
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with public and private sector clients preferred
