A Tier 1 HVAC Mechanical Contractor in Nashville is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial projects from planning through completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, excels at coordinating field and office operations, and is committed to delivering high‑quality results for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development and lead sales efforts to expand market presence.
- Oversee project delivery to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget, supported by thorough cost analysis and scope management.
- Validate project estimates and maintain accurate financial data within internal systems.
- Monitor project reports to evaluate progress, identify risks, and determine corrective actions when needed.
- Provide consistent updates on project status, cost performance, and budget alignment.
- Lead pre‑construction planning meetings, document key decisions, and track follow‑up actions.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules that integrate seamlessly with the master schedule.
- Manage subcontractor agreements, equipment procurement, and vendor coordination to support timelines and budget goals.
- Communicate project challenges promptly to the appropriate management team to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare project estimates, review forecasts, and ensure accurate financial entries throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and submit monthly billing to maintain healthy project cash flow.
- Resolve conflicts involving clients, vendors, trades, or partners with professionalism and efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by developing and refining internal policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify progress, ensure contract compliance, and address any issues impacting project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong background in managing projects directly for a commercial mechanical sub-contractor.
- Bachelor's degree in construction sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical installations, and construction processes.
- Excellent organizational, budgeting, and scheduling skills.
- Skilled in professional presentations.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
