Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager - Land Development Focus
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in civil engineering and a strong emphasis on land development. This leadership role involves overseeing multiple development projects from initial planning through final construction, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
Licensing Requirement:
A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida is required. Candidates with an EIT designation may be considered if they demonstrate substantial project management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the civil engineering aspects of residential land development projects, including site design, permitting, and construction oversight. Experience in commercial, industrial, or municipal development is also valued.
- Develop and maintain client relationships through direct engagement, strategic communication, and consistent project updates.
- Prepare project scopes, schedules, and fee proposals for new opportunities.
- Oversee the creation of due diligence reports assessing development feasibility, coordinating with external consultants as needed.
- Collaborate with internal planning teams to produce conceptual site layouts.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams to prepare and submit construction documents for regulatory approval at various governmental levels.
- Coordinate with field inspection teams to ensure timely project certification and closeout.
- Monitor project financials, including invoicing, profitability tracking, and receivables management.
- Mentor junior staff, support recruitment efforts, and foster a collaborative team environment.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Florida PE license required; EIT candidates must show relevant management experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering project management.
- Experience with master-planned residential communities is strongly preferred.
