Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead K-12 and higher education construction projects in the Austin area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the field operations of educational facilities, including new construction, renovations, and campus expansions. This role requires a proactive leader with a commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherence in active learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site construction activities for education projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones.
Conduct daily site inspections and enforce quality control measures.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and school district representatives.
Manage logistics in active school environments, ensuring minimal disruption to students and staff.
Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs, safety reports, and inspection records.
Lead site meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Minimum 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years as a Superintendent on education-related projects.
Experience with K-12 schools, universities, or technical campuses.
Strong knowledge of building systems, MEP coordination, and site safety.
Familiarity with Texas building codes and Austin-area permitting.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
OSHA 30 certification required.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in occupied school campuses or phased construction environments.
LEED or sustainability-focused project experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
