Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of specialty chemical solutions into the packaging industry across Asia. This role requires a technically strong individual with a deep understanding of chemical applications in packaging, and a proven ability to manage regional accounts and deliver commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the packaging chemicals business across Asia.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the packaging sector, including flexible and rigid packaging applications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
- Provide technical support and product recommendations based on customer needs and application requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D and product management teams to tailor solutions for the market.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in technical sales within the chemical or packaging industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical formulations and their application in packaging materials.
- Proven track record of managing regional accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel across Asia as needed.
