A well-established Bay Area geotechnical and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to lead geological investigations and support complex development projects across Northern California. With a client base that includes major tech companies, school districts, and commercial developers, this firm is known for its practical, site-specific solutions and deep local expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geologic hazard evaluations, fault studies, and slope stability analyses.
- Oversee field mapping, subsurface investigations, and logging of borings and trenches.
- Prepare technical reports and review deliverables for quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development efforts.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related field.
- California PG and CEG licenses (required).
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in engineering geology.
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geology and regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
