Senior Heavy Civil Estimator

Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid)
Salary: $180,000- $210,000 + Bonus(s)

A respected general contractor based in Bellevue, WA is looking to add a Senior Heavy Civil Estimator to their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate, competitive bids on complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects including roadways, bridges, utilities, grading, and site development.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure comprehensive and competitive bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers and leadership to develop bid strategies and value engineering options.
  • Maintain historical cost data and stay current on market trends and pricing.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and proposal presentations.

Experience Needed

  • 7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Proven success in preparing estimates for public and private infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with WSDOT and other regional agency projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the Pacific Northwest subcontractor and supplier market is a plus.
