Position Overview
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and delivery of complex mechanical systems for large-scale facilities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainable design, energy efficiency, and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design projects in the MEP/Facilities sector, including HVAC, plumbing, co-generation, and centralized energy systems.
- Develop client relationships and support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and RFP responses.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and internal quality practices.
- Represent the firm at industry events and conferences.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight on multidisciplinary teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 10+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, DBIA, or CCM certification.
- Experience with central plant systems and large campus infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in CAD (3D/4D) and engineering design tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
