Senior MEP Superintendent
A leading General Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Superintendent to lead the delivery of large‑scale data center construction projects across Ohio. This is a senior field leadership role suited to a hands‑on MEP professional with deep experience in mission‑critical environments.
The Role
As Senior MEP Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) activities on complex, fast‑paced data center projects. You will work closely with project management, trade partners, owners, and commissioning teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on‑site MEP construction activities from pre‑construction through turnover
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Low Voltage scopes
- Manage MEP trade partners, sequencing, installation, inspections, and commissioning
- Oversee QA/QC procedures for mission‑critical systems including power, cooling, and redundancy
- Drive schedule adherence and resolve constructability and field coordination challenges
- Enforce site safety standards and ensure compliance with all local and federal regulations
- Support start‑up, commissioning, and client handover activities
- Act as the primary field point of contact for MEP‑related issues
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in construction with a strong MEP focus
- Proven experience delivering data centers, mission‑critical, or high‑tech facilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling systems, and redundancy concepts
- Experience working for a General Contractor preferred
- Ability to lead large field teams and multiple subcontractors
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to work on site in Ohio with flexibility for project demands
