Senior Project Manager - Flood Drainage
A nationally recognized civil engineering firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead its flood drainage practice in Houston. This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional who thrives at the intersection of technical delivery, client engagement, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of flood drainage and stormwater infrastructure projects from planning through construction
Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage design, and permitting for public and private sector clients
Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence
Serve as the primary client contact, building long-term relationships and identifying new opportunities
Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical standards and best practices
Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic growth initiatives and market positioning
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas required
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in flood drainage or water resources engineering
Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects and leading teams
Strong communication skills and experience working with municipal and regional clients
Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Civil 3D, and related modeling tools
