What You Will Do
An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Structural Engineer to join the team in Nashville, TN. This senior-level role leads and mentors a team responsible for the structural design and analysis of building projects across multiple industries, including:
- Manufacturing
- Distribution
- Data centers
- Commercial
- Historical and adaptive reuse
- Renovations
The Senior Engineer serves as both a technical expert and a mentor for junior and midâlevel engineers. Growth pathways for this role may progress toward either a technical specialist track or a leadership/management track.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend project meetings with clients, architects, and contractors; maintain strong client interaction.
- Oversee design calculations, construction documents, shop drawing reviews, submittals, site reviews, and RFIs.
- Coordinate crossâdiscipline information to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and internal quality standards.
- Perform QA/QC reviews.
- Mentor, train, and support the development of engineering team members, including responsibility for professional growth and career development.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's preferred.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Structural Engineer (SE).
- 8+ years of experience in structural engineering focused on building design.
- Prior people management experience is a plus.
- Experience with industry software such as Tekla Structural Designer (TSD), ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, and Microsoft/Bentley tools.
- Project management capabilities required.
- Proficiency with various structural materials and systems, including steel, concrete, and masonry for lowâ to midârise structures.
- Working knowledge of Revit preferred.
- Clientâfacing experience is advantageous.
