About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Town Planner to join a dynamic planning team in Perth. This role is ideal for a planning professional with a strong background in statutory and strategic planning, who is passionate about shaping sustainable, vibrant, and well-designed communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex statutory planning applications, rezoning proposals, and development assessments.
- Provide expert advice on planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategic land use plans, structure plans, and planning schemes.
- Engage with stakeholders including government agencies, developers, and the community.
- Prepare and present reports, submissions, and recommendations to planning panels and councils.
- Mentor junior planners and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor and interpret changes in planning legislation and policy frameworks.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in statutory and/or strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of Western Australian planning legislation, policies, and frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
