Structural Department Leader

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and designers.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of structural engineering projects across various sectors including transportation, buildings, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure quality control, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Mentor junior staff and support professional development within the department.
  • Contribute to business development efforts including proposal writing, client presentations, and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and client relationship skills.
  • Familiarity with structural design software and BIM tools.
