Position: Structural Designer
Position Overview: They are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Designer to join their dynamic team in Cincinnati. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, with the ability to work on a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, residential structures, and industrial facilities. Candidates with an architectural design background are also encouraged to apply.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed structural designs and plans for various projects, ensuring they are safe, functional, and meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to create drawings and models using specialized software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and stability of designs.
- Prepare and review design documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to gather data and assess conditions for ongoing projects.
- Optimize designs to meet project needs and clearly explain design approaches to the team.
- Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in design.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and materials.
- Experience with structural analysis software such as SAP2000 or ETABS is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
