Structural Engineer

As a Civil/Structural Engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for assessing existing infrastructure, supporting design efforts, and managing civil and structural projects. Your work will include performing fit-for-service evaluations, structural loading calculations, and designing support systems such as lifting structures, motor and pump bases, and foundations. You'll review engineering designs for projects of all sizes, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

You'll also oversee construction activities, manage contractors and consultants, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget. A key part of your role will be maintaining and prioritizing a portfolio of infrastructure repairs, including roofs, buildings, and roads. For projects with a primarily civil or structural scope, you'll lead through all FEL phases-developing scope, schedule, and budget.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in civil/structural design in a heavy manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural design principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Project and construction management experience
  • Investment proposal development
  • Microsoft Project proficiency
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
