The Role:
This opportunity is for a skilled Structural Engineer ready to make an impact on renovation and rehabilitation projects across the New York City area. You'll be working within a dynamic team delivering inspections, surveying, and construction administration services that maintain and transform some of the region's most critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyze and prepare structural design documents and estimates.
- Inspect field conditions and provide recommendations for repair.
- Oversee installed work for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Conduct meetings with contractors and clients, and generate field reports.
- Provide designs, specifications, and technical submissions for review.
- Review submittals, shop drawings, shoring plans, and calculations.
- Contribute to the creative resolution of engineering challenges in the field.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
- EIT Certification required; PE license a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of structural design software is a plus.
- Intermediate technical writing and report generation skills.
- Excellent communication abilities in English.
- Self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation to/from offices and job sites.
- U.S. citizen or green card holder.
- Suspended/Stationary Scaffold Certification is a plus.
