We're currently seeking a skilled Substation Estimator to support our clients growing portfolio of high-voltage substation projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a collaborative, forward-thinking team on projects that make a real impact.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for substation construction projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and assess potential risks.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and estimation tools.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in estimating for substation or electrical utility projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience with high-voltage substation projects.
- Familiarity with utility company standards and bidding processes.
