Position Summary
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for directing on-site operations for heavy civil infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment plant construction. This role involves overseeing crews and subcontractors, maintaining project timelines, and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily construction activities on heavy civil and water infrastructure projects.
Coordinate subcontractors, labor, materials, and equipment efficiently.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and client representatives.
Monitor schedules and provide input to keep the project on track.
Enforce company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Conduct daily safety meetings and inspections.
Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications and plans.
Document daily progress, field conditions, and incident reports.
Troubleshoot site challenges and propose timely solutions.
Support the installation and commissioning of process systems.
Qualifications
5+ years of construction supervision experience, ideally in water/wastewater or heavy civil infrastructure.
Proficient in interpreting drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades.
Knowledge of treatment plant systems, structural concrete, process piping, and equipment installation.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Ohio and Eastern Indiana.
