Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support traffic and transportation planning efforts for land development and infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct traffic impact analyses and parking studies.
  • Oversee data collection efforts, including traffic volumes, roadway conditions, and regulatory signage.
  • Perform preliminary traffic assessments during early project stages to identify potential challenges.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and documentation.
  • Utilize traffic engineering software (e.g., SYNCHRO, HCS) to develop design solutions.
  • Collaborate on proposals, budgets, and invoicing with internal teams.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff and interns.
  • Conduct field inspections and site visits as needed.
  • Participate in other engineering tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering.
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
  • Proficiency in SYNCHRO, HCS, and familiarity with MUTCD standards.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours based on project needs.
