Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support traffic and transportation planning efforts for land development and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct traffic impact analyses and parking studies.
- Oversee data collection efforts, including traffic volumes, roadway conditions, and regulatory signage.
- Perform preliminary traffic assessments during early project stages to identify potential challenges.
- Prepare and review technical reports and documentation.
- Utilize traffic engineering software (e.g., SYNCHRO, HCS) to develop design solutions.
- Collaborate on proposals, budgets, and invoicing with internal teams.
- Manage and mentor junior staff and interns.
- Conduct field inspections and site visits as needed.
- Participate in other engineering tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering.
- EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
- Proficiency in SYNCHRO, HCS, and familiarity with MUTCD standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours based on project needs.
