Transportation Engineer
My client is seeking experienced, senior-level professionals in transportation engineering to lead and grow our highway, bridge, and traffic practice areas. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our North Texas operations and make a lasting impact on regional infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex transportation projects (TxDOT and municipal) from planning through construction.
- Serve as a technical expert in one or more of the following: highway design, bridge/structural engineering, or traffic engineering/operations.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
- Mentor junior staff and support team development.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth, client development, and proposal pursuits.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering.
- Proven experience managing TxDOT or municipal projects.
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards, specifications, and precertifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
Preferred Expertise:
- TxDOT precertifications in relevant categories (e.g., roadway design, bridge design, traffic studies).
- Familiarity with tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, HCS, Synchro, or similar.
- Experience with business development and proposal writing.
Location & Flexibility:
- Based in Dallas, TX with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or project needs.
