LVI Associates is currently partnered with a leading regional firm out of the Southeast looking to bring on a Transportation Practice Leader to oversee their transportation discipline across all offices. This role would be seated out of the Raleigh office where their transportation team is headquartered.

Practice Leader - Transportation

We are seeking an experienced Practice Leader in Transportation to guide the strategic direction and ensure the delivery of high-quality transportation solutions for a diverse client base, including municipalities, state transportation departments, and private developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align the transportation practice with organizational goals through strategic planning, critical thinking, and ethical leadership.
  • Manage financial performance, including setting and tracking profitability goals for the practice and individual teams.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams within the transportation sector.
  • Serve as a spokesperson and advocate within the firm and the industry, maintaining strong community and professional connections.
  • Lead business development and client relationship efforts within the transportation practice.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience is required.
  • Professional licensure is strongly preferred.

Core Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of transportation design principles, methods, and best practices.
  • Expertise in project management and professional standards.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Strong grasp of terminology and procedures within the A/E/C industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic planning, resource management, leadership, and team coordination.
