Position Overview
This leadership role is ideal for a senior engineer with a passion for water resources and a track record of building successful teams and practices. As Practice Lead, you'll drive strategy, oversee high-impact projects, and mentor engineers while helping shape the future of the firm's water resources division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the water resources practice, focusing on stormwater, drainage, and flood mitigation
  • Oversee technical delivery and ensure quality across multidisciplinary projects
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with municipalities, agencies, and private partners
  • Mentor and guide engineering staff, fostering a culture of learning and innovation
  • Contribute to strategic planning, business development, and long-term growth initiatives
  • Stay current with regulatory changes, funding programs, and emerging technologies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 12+ years of experience in water resources engineering and project leadership
  • P.E. license in Illinois or ability to obtain
  • Proven success in managing stormwater and drainage projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Familiarity with tools such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, Civil 3D, and GIS

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary up to $180,000
