This position involves applying technical civil engineering knowledge and skills to a variety of municipal water projects. The perfect candidate would be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams on planning, design, construction, and permitting for a variety of infrastructure projects including water, wastewater/sewer, stormwater, irrigation, and general utilities.
  • Analyze engineering data and apply sound judgement to produce final deliverables such as feasibility studies, technical memoranda, preliminary engineering reports, facility plans, cost estimates, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Support business development by building client relationships and assisting with proposal preparation.
  • Develop scopes of work, contracts, and design budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, operators, regulatory and funding agencies, and contractors to meet project requirements.
  • Attend client and public meetings to present project details and engage stakeholders.
  • Conduct fieldwork including construction observation and site reconnaissance.
  • Supervise project support staff including drafters, engineers-in-training, surveyors, and construction observers.
  • Manage client relationships and projects, ensuring responsive communication and high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide coordination and support for multidisciplinary projects across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • 5-15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven technical expertise.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $94,000 - $135,000 annually, based on experience.
