Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead and oversee major aviation architecture initiatives. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a deep understanding of complex infrastructure projects and a passion for delivering high-impact design solutions. The successful candidate will manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and team performance.
This position involves full responsibility for the execution and profitability of aviation projects with annual revenues exceeding $12 million. The Project Director will serve as the primary client liaison, guiding projects from concept through completion while mentoring project managers and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of large-scale aviation projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, and communications for both client and internal teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Oversee and support project managers, providing guidance and quality assurance across all phases.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and fee estimates for complex, high-value projects.
- Coordinate efforts across architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Champion quality control and continuous improvement throughout the design and execution process.
- Lead staffing decisions, performance reviews, training, and professional development for team members.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational and project success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in architecture or infrastructure design.
Preferred Qualifications
- 20+ years of experience delivering large-scale aviation projects.
- 12+ years of experience in team leadership and people management.
- Professional licensure (RA) strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate large, multidisciplinary teams.
