Design Engineer - Building Automation (Remote, Data Center Projects)
Location: Remote (U.S. based)
Salary: Up to $140,000 base + Benefits + Bonus
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team specializing in building automation systems for mission-critical data center projects. This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that power the digital economy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop building automation systems (BAS) for large-scale data centers.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, control schematics, and system architecture documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Perform system calculations, equipment selection, and integration planning.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering (or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in building automation design, preferably in data center environments.
- Proficiency with BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and network integration.
- Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.
