Bridge Engineer
A regional, employee-owned engineering firm with a strong presence in the Mountain West is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join their Montana team. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, commitment to professional growth, and flexible work environment.
The Bridge Engineer will design, analyze, and manage bridge and transportation structure projects for a variety of public and private clients. This role offers the flexibility to shape your work schedule and location, with both office and remote options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the design of new and rehabilitated bridges, culverts, and related structures
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E) for bridge projects
- Perform structural analysis and load rating calculations
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, employee-owned culture
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Montana PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 3+ years of experience in bridge design and structural engineering
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., CSiBridge, SAP2000, or similar)
- Experience preparing PS&E packages for DOT or municipal clients
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
