Building Enclosure Consultant

Position Overview
The Building Envelope Consultant will support investigations, assessments, design, and construction administration for roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall systems. This role is based in the firm's Raleigh office and works closely with a multidisciplinary technical team on repairs, replacements, and new construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform building envelope assessments and forensic investigations.
- Conduct moisture intrusion evaluations and diagnostic testing.
- Prepare technical reports, design details, and construction documents.
- Provide construction administration, site observations, and quality assurance monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and project management teams.
- Support design review and building enclosure commissioning services.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- P.E. Licensed.
- 4-7+ years of relevant experience in building enclosure, roofing, or waterproofing.
- Understanding of building envelope systems and field testing standards.
- Preferred credentials include RRO, RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC - certifications commonly held by professionals in this type of firm.
- Strong communication and technical writing abilities.
