Building Envelope/Enclosure Consultant
LVI Associates is representing a leading architectural and engineering consulting firm seeking a mid-level Building Envelope Consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in building science, architecture, or engineering who are passionate about delivering high-performance enclosure systems. The role involves working on a variety of projects including new construction, rehabilitation, and forensic investigations.

Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing design documents and providing technical input on envelope systems such as roofing, waterproofing, cladding, and glazing
- Conducting field investigations, condition assessments, and failure analyses
- Preparing technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Supporting construction administration through submittal reviews, site visits, and performance testing
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and owners throughout project phases
- Staying current with codes, materials, and industry standards
- Mentoring junior staff and contributing to internal technical development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- PE or RA license required
- 5 to 8 years of experience in building envelope consulting, design, or construction
- Strong understanding of building science and enclosure system performance
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and modeling tools is preferred
