Position Overview
The Senior Civil Engineer / Division Manager will lead a team of engineers and project managers, ensuring high‑quality project delivery from concept through completion. This role is responsible for securing new work, managing resources, shaping project strategy, and maintaining strong client partnerships. The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical depth, business acumen, and people leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Oversight - Establish and enforce quality standards, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and industry best practices.
Client Relationship Management - Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future work.
Business Development - Maintain a strong pipeline of projects by developing proposals, supporting marketing efforts, and pursuing new opportunities.
Team Leadership - Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering staff; manage performance; and cultivate a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
Project Delivery - Direct project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Technical Guidance - Provide oversight on design documents and ensure constructability, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Resource Allocation - Assign personnel and balance workloads to meet project deadlines and financial targets.
Issue Resolution - Address project challenges proactively, facilitating solutions between internal teams and clients.
Team Development - Coach junior staff and support their professional growth.
Working Relationships
Reports directly to executive leadership.
Oversees department managers, senior engineers, and project managers.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
10+ years of civil engineering experience in a consulting environment.
5+ years in a senior engineering or project management role with significant leadership responsibilities.
Strong understanding of project financials and profitability drivers.
Experience with civil design and construction processes.
Proficiency with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office.
Work Environment & Requirements
Ability to travel for client meetings, site visits, and project oversight.
Comfortable navigating active construction and industrial environments.
Regular office-based work with extensive use of digital tools and communication platforms.
