Description
  • Duties include project management on all aspects of commercial projects. Supervision of field personnel, scheduling, purchasing, GC interactions and processing of all project paperwork to include billing, change orders, subcontracts, and more.
  • Developing and reviewing project schedules.
  • Negotiating subcontractor and vendor contracts.
  • Procuring, reviewing, and submitting trade shop drawings and equipment submittals for the project engineer's approval.
  • Releasing and tracking equipment orders.
  • Attending project site meetings and walk-throughs.
  • Scheduling site deliveries and building system shut-downs.
  • Strong and in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Advanced understanding of layout, design, fabrication, and installation of HVAC/R systems
  • Ability to manage a project from development and stakeholder engagement through implementation and evaluation
  • Ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Ability to motivate, manage, and train a team of employees at various skill levels

Requirements
  • Knowledge of state and local codes
  • Must understand commercial HVAC/plumbing construction, the ability to react quickly to changing conditions and will display strong communication skills.
  • Provide support to the Project Managers for multiple aspects of projects including procurement, CO's, Q/C, RFI's and submittals.
  • Participate and provide input into takeoffs, budgeting, planning, scheduling, and production tracking.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in mechanical construction, industrial and commercial and a bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
  • Knowledge in project management, OSHA, and safety codes/practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with construction scheduling software
  • Proficient with computers, phones, and other office equipment
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while under pressure
  • Ability to create strategy and goals for team productivity and quality.
