Commercial Solar Project Manager
Commercial Solar Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the execution of solar PV projects from pre-construction through completion. Projects typically range from 100kW to multi-megawatt systems. This role requires strong construction management skills, deep understanding of the solar industry, and the ability to manage multiple active job sites across Massachusetts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day management of commercial solar projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and on budget
Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
Manage project timelines, permitting, procurement, budgeting, and documentation
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and resolve field issues
Maintain compliance with local and state building codes, utility requirements, and safety regulations
Prepare and manage project-related documentation including schedules, RFIs, submittals, and closeout packages
Oversee subcontractor performance and enforce safety and quality expectations
Qualifications:
3-7 years of construction or project management experience in solar, electrical, or commercial construction
Demonstrated experience managing multiple commercial solar projects concurrently
Strong knowledge of NEC, local permitting processes, and utility interconnection
Ability to lead field teams and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar)
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
