Position Overview
The company is seeking a seasoned Site Superintendent to lead heavy civil and sitework projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors on large-scale projects involving excavation, utilities, and roadway construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise all phases of site development, including:
- Excavation, demolition, and land clearing
- Earthwork and site grading
- Underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm drainage)
- Road construction and surface restoration
- Coordinate schedules, equipment, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Interpret civil plans and specifications
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients
- Resolve on-site challenges promptly and maintain project timelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy civil/sitework supervision
- Expertise in excavation, grading, and underground utilities
- Familiarity with roadway construction, sewage systems, and stormwater management
- Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors
- OSHA certification preferred
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
