Controls Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Project Manager to lead and oversee building automation projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Distech, Niagara, Delta, or Alerton systems and a strong background in managing complex BAS projects across commercial, industrial, or institutional environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage the full lifecycle of BAS projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and execution.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical direction and support for the integration, programming, and commissioning of BAS platforms (Distech, Niagara, Delta, Alerton).
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and satisfaction.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all project documentation, drawings, and submittals are accurate and compliant with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits and inspections to verify system performance and adherence to specifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in BAS project management.
  • Proven technical expertise in at least one of the following platforms: Distech Controls, Niagara Framework (AX/N4), Delta Controls, or Alerton.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls theory, and networking fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings and control schematics.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
