Electrical Engineering Manager
A leading professional services firm is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager - Solar to lead design teams focused on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role includes serving as Engineer of Record and managing multi-office coordination, quality assurance, and client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to support utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, supporting career development and performance.
- Oversee electrical design for utility-scale solar and hybrid renewable energy projects.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of engineering work across teams.
- Coordinate with clients, utilities, and internal disciplines to align project goals.
- Support process improvement, risk management, and development of engineering tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), with ability to obtain multi-state licensure.
- 8-12 years of experience in PV solar or electrical infrastructure design.
- Strong knowledge of NEC/NESC codes and electrical modeling software.
- Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary project environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or NABCEP Certification.
- Experience with energy storage systems and SCADA integration.
- Familiarity with tools like ETAP, PSS/E, PVsyst, and PVCase.
- Background in EPC, development, or construction within the renewable energy sector.
