We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating electrical scopes for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, with a focus on accuracy, competitiveness, and timely bid delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for commercial and institutional projects
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine material and labor requirements
- Perform quantity take‑offs and develop complete cost proposals
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes
- Work closely with project managers and leadership to support budgeting, preconstruction, and bid strategy
- Maintain organized records of estimates, pricing, and historical cost data
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site evaluations, and scope reviews
- Ensure all estimates meet company standards for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
Qualifications
- 1-20 years experience. Looking for junior and senior.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial or industrial construction
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and installation methods
- Proficient in estimating software and tools (Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams and external partners
- Experience in the Houston market is preferred
