About the Opportunity
A respected, growth-oriented AEC firm is seeking a skilled and proactive Federal Proposal Specialist to lead and manage the federal proposal and pursuit process. This is a confidential search for a key team member who will play a pivotal role in winning strategic federal projects and supporting the firm's continued growth in the federal market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full federal proposal and pursuit process, including writing proposals, developing strategy, teaming, and client presentations.
- Develop pursuit matrices for capture planning and positioning.
- Coordinate outreach to subconsultants and teaming partners.
- Write and develop resumes, past performance, and other SF330 sections.
- Facilitate color reviews (Pink and Red Team), incorporating lessons learned.
- Support strategic federal marketing and business development initiatives in collaboration with firm leadership.
- Assist with client debriefs to refine future federal marketing and BD efforts.
- Identify and secure federal teaming opportunities with business development and market sector leaders.
- Train technical staff in federal marketing activities such as proposal writing and presentations.
- Manage federal marketing resources, including content, opportunity tracking, and the Deltek database.
- Oversee federal marketing materials to ensure branding consistency.
- Monitor federal procurement sources and oversee Go/No-Go decision-making processes.
- Support other market sectors as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of experience in the federal AEC industry preferred.
- Direct experience managing proposals (SF-330 submissions) and TORNs for the Federal Government (DoD, GSA, etc.).
- Proficiency in InDesign, Deltek, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of AEC marketing principles, proposal development, and go/no-go processes.
- Proficient in SOQ/proposal production, including digital and print/binding.
- Knowledge of and experience with federal AEC contracting, including procurement processes, FAR/DFARS, government procurement websites/portals, terminology, best practices, and industry organizations.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
