Financial Controller - Data Centers
Our client is a fast‑growing data center developer delivering world‑class, energy‑efficient, and scalable hyperscale and colocation facilities across the United States. With multiple new campuses in development, they are strengthening their finance and operational leadership to support long‑term expansion.
They are now seeking a Controller to lead financial operations, drive strategic reporting, and establish best‑in-class controls across a rapidly evolving project delivery environment.
Role Overview
The Controller will serve as the financial backbone of the organization, overseeing accounting, reporting, project financials, compliance, and internal controls for a portfolio of large‑scale data center developments.
This is a high‑visibility position that collaborates closely with executive leadership, development, construction, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month‑end close.
- Develop and optimize financial reporting processes to support growth and transparency across multiple projects and business units.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management, with a strong focus on construction and development expenditures.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage external audits, tax filings, and banking relationships.
- Implement internal controls and financial systems to support organizational scalability.
- Partner with development and construction managers to track project costs, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership to guide investment decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
