A respected and growing engineering consultancy is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support its expanding operations in Central Texas. With flexibility to be based in either Austin or San Antonio, this role offers the chance to work on a wide range of impactful projects while contributing to a collaborative and technically focused team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations, soil sampling, and laboratory testing programs
  • Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, and pavements
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and design recommendations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, and environmental disciplines
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support project delivery
  • Assist with project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • PE license (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe)
  • 3-8 years of geotechnical engineering experience
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with geotechnical software such as gINT, GeoStudio, or PLAXIS is a plus
