About the Role
A growing engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a qualified Geotechnical Engineer to join the team as a Project Manager. This role involves leading geotechnical investigations and design projects across sectors such as real estate, oil and gas, and landfill development.
Responsibilities include managing subsurface investigations, addressing construction-related geotechnical challenges, and overseeing construction materials testing services. Projects may involve foundation design, slope stability, retaining walls, landslide mitigation, and pavement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage geotechnical subsurface investigations
- Coordinate and monitor drilling operations and sampling
- Prepare boring logs and develop lab testing programs
- Analyze lab data and perform geotechnical design and analysis
- Prepare technical reports and design recommendations
- Oversee construction materials testing for earthwork, concrete, masonry, and pavements
- Supervise and guide field technicians and testing staff
Qualifications
- 5-15 years of geotechnical consulting experience
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Engineer-in-training(E.I.T) license required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred)
