Geotechnical Project Manager
A long-standing, Texas-based engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to lead operations out of its Dallas office. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through delivery, ensuring technical excellence, budget control, and timely execution.
- Oversee field investigations, lab testing programs, and engineering analyses related to foundations, earth structures, slope stability, and pavements.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports with clear, actionable recommendations tailored to client needs.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, coordinating with contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and field staff, fostering technical development and team cohesion.
- Support business development efforts through proposal writing, client presentations, and relationship management.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, with demonstrated project management success.
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Strong technical background in soil mechanics, foundation systems, and construction support.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as gINT, LPILE, SLIDE, PLAXIS, or GeoStudio.
