Salary: $140,000- $180,000 + Bonus(s)
About the Company: Our client, a leading heavy civil general contractor, specializes in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. They focus on large-scale public works projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities. They are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join their team in Tacoma, WA.
Job Description: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing public works construction projects from inception to completion. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage public works construction projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project milestones are met.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management for heavy civil construction projects.
- Proven experience with public works projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
- Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and project documentation.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
