HV Renewables Electrical Project Engineers (REMOTE)

We're looking for an experienced electrical project engineers who's ready to apply their high-voltage electrical expertise to the fast-growing world of utility-scale renewable energy. In this role, you'll work on cutting-edge solar and battery storage projects, helping to design and deliver high-voltage systems that connect clean energy to the grid. All openings offer flexibility to sit 100% remote if preferred but we also have an available list of cities and relocation opportunities for those who prefer hybrid or local.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support large utility-scale solar & BESS portfolio across the country as part of an exisiting team that is commited to delivering safe & reliable clean energy.
  • Lead electrical engineering efforts for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects
  • Develop and review single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and layout drawings for electrical systems
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including civil, structural, and mechanical engineers to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables related to electrical scope
  • Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals
  • Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes, utility interconnection requirements, and safety standards
  • Oversee construction and commissioning phases, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed
  • Interface with utilities and permitting authorities to facilitate approvals and grid integration
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of employer / engineering experience.
  • Proven experience with high-voltage systems with a specialty in at least two of the areas (substation design, grounding analysis protection & control systems, electrical power system studies, relay settings, electrical operations & maintenance, utility-scale solar or BESS energy)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC, IEC)
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
